Gone in 60 Seconds
This page, like the movie, is still
being put together.
Last year they used my 39 for this movie.
The basic story is about car thieves.
The chop shop they used was called Holliwell's Garage
Robert Duvall played the part of the owner of the shop.
They wanted a couple of show pieces for this shop.
The 39 and a show quality muscle car were their choices.
During the filming I took a weeks vacation,
and visited the site. I was lucky enough to meet
most
of the actors and was treated really well.
I even got them all to sign the glove box of the 39
Everyone was great.
I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by showing these
pictures.
All this to set the lighting just right.
Well, sometimes to keep the crew in the shade.
Nicolas Cage between takes.
They spend two hours painting a new sign, and then
spend six hours making it look old and worn out.
Just couldn't help myself.
This is the 39 on the set.
Still couldn't help myself.
Look Familiar?
All this is fake.
They actually laid the tracks, and brought in the tanker.
This Oil Rig wasn't real either.
The rig was real, but to save on assembly hassle,
the counterweights were made of foam.
As an inside joke, one of the art guys
put his name on the weights.
This is Larry.
He was Robert Duvall's picture double.
Cool guy too.
Soon, I'll be making a BBQ like this.
Probably out of the trunk end of a 49 Chrysler Windsor
